Finnish musician and former HIM vocalist Ville Valo announced a brand new album under his new moniker VV. The album is scheduled for release early next year, and all we know so far is that it will be called ‘Neon Noar.’
“Artistically speaking, the main difference between HIM and VV is the extra line in the Heartagram, but what an exquisite line it is!,” shared Valo about the new project. “It’s the Mamas and the Papas dressed up as Metallica on their way to a Halloween bash at the Studio 54, and now who wouldn’t want to witness that?”
Along with the album announcement, Valo also shared a brand new single ‘Loveletting,’ which gives a pretty clear taste of what’s to come. The track also comes with a music video that can be seen below.
“As fun as the funeral rites for HIM were, it took me more than a few moons to lick my wounds in the shadow of the Heartagram and come up with an excuse to strum and hum again. Eventually, I decided to put a leash on my beloved black dog and we started howling together instead of barking at each other. That’s how ‘Loveletting’ was born,” shared Valo about the song.
To mark the album release Valo also announced a huge tour for the first part of the next year, including quite a few shows in Europe. Check the dates below.
