Rrome Alone, hip hop artist on death row in Raleigh North Carolina, shared his new EP ‘The Dying Declarations.’ Like his previous works, he recorded ‘The Dying Declarations’ EP using the prison telephone as his microphone, collaborating with producers on the outside who record his vocals and provide beats for his rhymes.
“‘The Dying Declarations’ EP is a brief lyrical snapshot of my life from conception to my imagined death,” he shares. “It begins with a story about my biracial background, then describes my descent into drugs, alcohol, and a life of crime. It ends with me searching for spiritual guidance followed by the psychological horror story of facing a State sanctioned execution.”
