Sincere Engineer embraces her vulnerable side with brand new track ‘Anemia’

Chicago-based punk artist Sincere Engineer returns with ‘Anemia’ – an upbeat earworm that will speak to anyone who’s ever felt a little awkward, or had trouble finding the right words in a social setting. The relatable track is the newest single off Sincere Engineer’s forthcoming studio album ‘Cheap Grills,’ due out September 22nd. ‘Anemia’ is the follow-up to ‘Fireplace’ which she worked on with Mike Sapone (Taking Back Sunday, Boston Manor, Grouplove).

Sincere Engineer’s Deanna Belos shares of the track: ‘Anemia’ is the opening track of ‘Cheap Grills.’ It’s about being awkward at a party and I wrote it when I found out I have anemia. The video is kind of a joke in the sequence videos we’ve released for the record – if you notice all the backgrounds are just different colors in the song performance scenes. The joke is that instead of having a storyline in this video, I pretended to fall off a ladder while hanging up the background, so we just had to show footage from shows and on the road instead! Haha!”
