Fresh off the back of receiving a nomination for best newcomer label at the D&B Arena Awards last year, René LaVice and his Device label kick off the new year with the first release of 2021. US talents Richter and Dr. Apollo along with fresh vocalist Gracie Van Brunt join him, dropping the ultimate collab ‘I’ve Been Waiting.’
Launching Device last year, René LaVice’s label has had a stellar 2020 with huge signings and forward-thinking curation, championing revered talent from Danny Byrd, Benny L, Future Cut, and S.P.Y to emerging producers like Flowidus, Lee Mvtthews, Something Something, Kleu, and more.
Allowing rising vocalists and singer-songwriters to flourish in a new electronic space, René’s label launch has also seen him support the likes of The Melody Men, Jess Young, and Camden Cox.
Now enlisting talent across the pond, Shane Armijo aka Richter lends his skills to this jam-packed release. LA-based, Richter represents Insomniac and Bassrush whilst his eccentric productions have earned heavyweight support from Andy C, Pendulum, DJ Craze, and more.
Meanwhile, Dr. Apollo has been making great success in recent years. His single ‘Red’ with Dip Vertigo on Hospital Music‘s ‘Sick Music’ compilation saw him land the official D&B remix for Billie Eilish‘s ‘Bad Guy,’ whilst he’s also landed collabs with the likes of D&B icons Reid Speed for monstrous hits. More recently, he scored relentless anthem ‘In Colour’ with Finni on Ram Records’ 2021 annual compilation.
Now continuing Device’s strong momentum with this epic transatlantic collaboration, ‘I’ve Been Waiting’ results in pure D&B fire. Gracie Van Brunt’s vocals, which have earned her 200K+ streams on Spotify, round off the single as a euphoric dance weapon.
