Ever since Talking Heads’ legendary ‘Stop Making Sense’ film got re-released last year, A24 has decided to announce and share details of a forthcoming compilation album titled ‘Everyone’s Getting Involved: A Tribute To Talking Heads’ Stop Making Sense.’ This will celebrate the 40th anniversary of the film with its accompanying soundtrack album – 16 re-worked tracks aim to offer new interpretations of the band’s seminal sound from the 1984 live album ‘Stop Making Sense’ the first of which – ‘Burning Down The House’ has arrived today by none other than Paramore.
Earlier in January, the band along with A24 shared a mysterious video to their social media accounts, which saw Hayley Williams receiving something special – David Byrne’s giant suit from the film with an opening line to her bandmates; “I’ve got a tape I’d like to play you.” The record also includes contributions from BADBADNOTGOOD, Blondshell, the Cavemen., Chicano Batman feat. Money Mark, DJ Tunez, El Mató A Un Policía Motorizado, girl in red, Jean Dawson, Kevin Abstract, the Linda Lindas, Lorde, Miley Cyrus, the National, Teezo Touchdown, and Toro Y Moi.
