Canadian singer Avril Lavigne has shared her new single ‘We Are Warriors.’ The song is actually a re-recording of ‘Warrior,’ closing song from her sixth album ‘Head Above Water’ released last year. All net profits from the song will go to Project Hope’s COVID-19 relief efforts.
About the project, Lavigne shared: “I felt the need to do something to honour all of the frontline workers who risk their lives every day to keep us safe. From the doctors, nurses, police, fire fighters, grocery workers, delivery services, all essential workers and the brave volunteers. I am humbled with gratitude and want to dedicate my new song ‘We Are Warriors’ to everyone putting their lives at risk to keep us safe. You guys are the ones that are holding the world up right now and we’re all counting on you and relying on you. You are Warriors! We all need each other more than ever right now. Now is the time to fight and to stick together. Be kind, be safe, be a Warrior and support our mission at CharityStars.com/Warrior.”
