Linkin Park have released hard-hitting new single, ‘Heavy Is The Crown.’ The song serves as the 2024 League of Legends World Championship Anthem, marking the band’s first collaboration with Riot Games. The track kicks into a high gear as an anthem equally appropriate for the high-octane multi-dimensional competition of League of Legends and music festival grounds worldwide. Of course, ‘Heavy Is The Crown’ also paves the way for Linkin Park’s first album since 2017, ‘From Zero’, on November 15th.
Linkin Park are in the midst of their 6-date arena run for the ‘From Zero World Tour’, which sold out in mere minutes. Due to heavy demand, today they announce three additional stadium shows for 2024 in Paris, Dallas, and São Paulo. LP Underground fan club exclusive presales start September 25th and general on-sales start September 27th.
The 2024 Worlds Music Video envisions renowned League of Legends pro player Lee “Faker” Sang-hyeok as a newly crowned king as he battles a legion of aspiring rulers who arrive on his doorstep. Through the story of a warrior fighting to protect a kingdom under siege, the video honors Faker and T1’s victory at Worlds 2023 while embodying the powerful spirit of League players. It also celebrates the rich history of kingdoms and dynasties in London, where the Worlds Finals will take place on November 2nd, 2024.
‘Heavy Is The Crown’ lands in the wake of the band’s first new music in seven years ‘The Emptiness Machine’. Ultimately, with ‘From Zero’, the band is looking to harness the purest energy of their past, present, and future. The new era has officially begun.
