The Kilograms (ex-Mighty Mighty Bosstones) release debut album ‘Beliefs and Thieves’

The wait is finally over, and now we can all plug into the unbridled energy of the highly anticipated debut album by The Kilograms. ‘Beliefs & Thieves’ captures the spirit of bands like The Clash and The Replacements – it’s raw, unapologetic, and has a philosophy. “And maybe do some good along the way.” Joe Gittleman (bass &vocals) in a recent interview with The Boston Globe. There’s an authenticity to The Kilograms that is built on leaving everything on the stage, being a megaphone for marginalized groups in their community, actively shutting down hate and fascism, and ultimately wanting to leave the room a little brighter than when they got there.

If you’re not familiar with The Kilograms, the band includes Joe Gittleman (The Mighty Mighty BosstonesAvoid One Thing), Michael McDermott (ex-The Bouncing SoulsJoan Jett), Sammy Kay, J Duckworth (Newport Secret Six), and the newly added Craig Gorsline. Their debut album, ‘Beliefs & Thieves’, was recorded by Pete Steinkopf of The Bouncing Souls and mixed by Paul Kolderie (PixiesRadioheadMorphine). You can preorder ‘Beliefs & Thieves’ from Rad Girlfriend Records and the band’s own recently minted label, Weights and Measures.
