Nia Archives ushers in the summer of jungle with ‘Forbidden Feelingz’ EP

Hot off the back of her win at the 2022 NME Bandlab Awards for best producer, Nia Archives shares her highly anticipated new EP ‘Forbidden Feelingz.’ Including her personal exploration of her struggles with body dysmorphia ‘Luv Like,’ the reggae leaning single sampling Cocoa Tea’s ‘Young Longer’18 & Over’ (1Xtra playlist) and the instant classic ‘Forbidden Feelingz’; the EP features new unheard singles ‘Ode To Maya Angelou’ – a dedication to one of her biggest inspirations, ‘Gud Gudbyez’ and ‘Part Of Me’ which is about losing a part of herself after the breakdown of a predominant relationship.

This sensational six-track EP speaks volumes on talent, with Nia writing music geared more towards the club and big sound systems and coming alongside her first physical product – a limited edition 12” clear vinyl and a cassette tape. Exploring and presenting different sides of her artistry, this project further solidifies her status as one of the most exciting new producers on the scene connecting generations of junglists.

Speaking on the video co-directed and edited by Nia for ‘Part Of Me,’ she says: “I wanted to shoot the ‘Part Of Me’ visual in Brighton as it is my happy place where I often go to escape. I was so lucky to catch the sunniest day of the year as I have a strong feeling that 2022 will be the summer of jungle.”
