“Kane came to me with this beat and the vibe of it was sombre and at the same time optimistic. All I could think of was striving to get to ‘Better Dayz.’ I penned the hook to blend in beautifully with the piano. Reks is one of Lawtown’s best and good look,” says Al-J. “These two elite emcees perfectly matched the dark yet uplifting vibe of the beat. Appropriate for the times,” Kane added.
