Australian punk outfit Fake News share new EP ‘Time and Place’

Australian pop punk quintet Fake News have unveiled their new EP, ‘Time & Place.’ The buoyant, high-energy collection from the Gold Coast crew is dynamic and perennially accessible, with six sub-3-minute tracks awash with candor and positivity.

Speaking on the new album, lead vocalist Tim Russ shares:‘Time & Place’ started out as 3 song EP, but due to lengthy delays with our artwork we continued to develop the track list. The drums were mulled out as Darren Crowe (guitar) and Nick Vanderkley (bass, vocals) would work in with Nat MacDonald (drums) to start fleshing out ideas. Then came the rhythm to tie in, which seemed to fall into place all too easy.”

Russ continues: “When I finished the final vocal tracks with Shaun Smith, the producer, we had a party at Darren’s place to celebrate complete with fireworks in the back yard. Then the neighbours complained but no cops were called so I would call that a happy ending.”
