Beyond The Lamplight release debut album ‘Don’t Forget To Leave It All Behind’

Folk-punk/indie band Beyond The Lamplight released their first full-length album. With singles like ‘Shelter,’ co-recorded with British singer/songwriter Frank Turner, the band led by Ian and Andrew of the Americana band Larry And His Flask has already made a splash.

Lead singers of Larry and his Flask, Ian Cook and Andrew Carew, continue the fun and songwriting alliance together in their new project Beyond The Lamplight. A new iteration of the time-tested sound that fans have grown to love. Soaring harmonies meld with deft lyricism and lightning-fast banjo-picking all against a double-time backbeat to form a quintessential electric barn burner.

‘Don’t Forget To Leave It All Behind’ is an album about liberation. It’s about finding your way out from under the weight of your own fears and worries. A triumphant call to arms that says, “Forget your shortcomings. Forget your failures. Forget all the things that keep you from being who you’re really meant to be,” according to Ian Cook.

Whether it’s the ringing refrain of ‘The Current’ that asks, “…will you swim or will you sink?”, the sardonic swing of ‘Hiding In Plain Sight’ that says, “…we all know how hard it is to do nothing…. “ or the catchy cadence of the title track, “…take a stand do what you’re here for, you are free to live your life…,” the album is peppered with lessons and warnings against deviating from the true path to positive mental health and happiness.

Having worked with Xtra Mile Records and Silver Sprocket Records with Larry And His Flask, Cook and Carew quickly found a home for Beyond the Lamplight at Flail Records.
