Fliptrix returns with ‘Making Waves’ from his upcoming album ‘Dragonfly’

Prolific lyricist and all-around vibes merchant Fliptrix returns with the latest installment from his forthcoming tenth solo album ‘Dragonfly’. Embarking on fresh sonic pathways that introduce a whole new atmosphere to his most recent work; ‘Making Waves’  produced by Illinformed, confirms that Fliptrix is just at home on high energy, double-time heaters as he is on more traditional BPMs; flexing different schemes and patterns as the track unfolds. From being high up in the mountains to taking to the stage, and the contrast in that exchange, ‘Making Waves’ sees Fliptrix drive home messages about work ethic, dedication, but most significantly, SHELLING it down every time he touches the mic.

Out on 14th August via High Focus Records, ‘Dragonfly’ was forged off grid in Portugal and produced in full by Leaf Dog & Illinformed. It outlines a series of life-changing events that compelled Fliptrix to hole up in the studio to capture the true essence of his recent experiences in real time. Named after his dad’s band in the 60s/70s (who sadly passed last year), he created the album as a way to process his death in a cathartic way. To mark the album, Fliptrix has announced a 9 date tour of the UK throughout October alongside DJ Jazz T – taking in dates in major venues in London, Manchester, Bristol, Swansea, Brighton and more.
