Just ahead of releasing their highly anticipated fourth album ‘ROMANCE’ that’s coming out this week, Irish band Fontaines D.C. have shared their fourth single titled ‘In the Modern World.’
“I always wanted to write that song but never knew how,” frontman Grian Chatten told Vogue, sharing it’s probably his favorite song on the album. “I remember the moment that song came to a point; I arranged the strings and stuff on my laptop at home in my flat. After I listened to it and closed the laptop, I was like, Ah, that’s what I’ve been trying to do for five years. I always wanted to write a song that sounded like Lana Del Rey could maybe sing on it, you know?”
Fontaines D.C. begin their North American tour on September 20th in Seattle, and will play two sold-out shows at Brooklyn Paramount on October 15th and 16th with Been Stellar – check out the dates below!
