Celebrated singer-songwriter Frank Turner releases ‘Girl From The Record Shop,’ the latest track to be lifted from the Friday, May 3rd release of his forthcoming album, ‘Undefeated,’ the follow-up to Turner’s acclaimed #1 UK album, ‘FTHC.’ The breakneck ‘Girl From the Record Shop’ is a brilliant Frankenstein-like mashup of messrs: Bragg and Costello.
Two towering influences, for sure, but Turner wrestles them into something wholly his own. His latest single is “A little power-pop flight of fancy, a teenage dream of romance for my inner music nerd, complete with an admission of my inevitable adolescent failure,” Turner says. “Short, sharp and to the point.”
