Happy. frontman and LQBTQ+ activist Tate Logan debuts solo single ‘Kill Me To Try’

Tate Logan, frontman of the pop punk band, Happy. shared his debut solo track, ‘Kill Me To Try,’ along with the music video which can be seen below. The song produced by Matt Squire (One Direction, Katy Perry, Panic! At The Disco), and navigates the desire for something more than a “stupid, fucking, boring life.”

Inspired by the Trans artist’s personal journey and recent move to LA, Logan says the track, “is about feeling unfulfilled by the idea of an ordinary life mixed with the fear of succumbing to the mundane and monotonous routines all around you… Sometimes packing your shit, quitting your job, and moving as far from home as possible is the only way you’ll ever truly find out.”

Whether it’s his perpetually disheveled bedhead, over-the-top erratic stage presence, or ability to charm a perfect stranger, Tate Logan is contagious. His influences range from 90s surf rock, 00s pop-punk, modern hyperpop, and singer/songwriter deep-cuts, a limitless resource of musical taste.

Tate is a dedicated activist in the LGBTQ+ community creating an inclusive and supportive space for all of his fans. He encourages them to be exactly who they are and not to take shit from anyone. This inspired Tate to embark on a solo career to fully embrace his identity as a transman in the alternative scene and dedicate his passion for music to those who need representation in those spaces.  Fashion, art, and music are all deeply intertwined in Tate’s world. Inspirations from the glamour rock of Motley Crue to the dirty edge of britpop, to the fearless provocation of Lady Gaga, there is always a dedication to leather, chains, and cheetah print in Tate’s wardrobe.
