Have Mercy release deluxe edition of 2023 album ‘Numb’ titled ‘Still Numb’

After a hiatus in 2020, Baltimore’s emo/alt-rock powerhouse Have Mercy made a triumphant return with their December 2023 album ‘Numb’, released via Rude Records. This LP, a milestone in their career, explores themes of perseverance, sobriety, new love, and a healthier lifestyle, solidifying their presence in the alt-rock scene. Self-produced and primarily recorded in Brian Swindle’s basement, ‘Numb’ revisits the essence of their early sound. Now, Have Mercy release ‘Still Numb’ —a deluxe edition of the album featuring the new single ‘Dead Letter’ and two acoustic renditions of original tracks ‘Numb’ and ‘Alive’.

Lead vocalist and guitarist Brian Swindle sees the release of ‘Still Numb’ as an opportunity to expand on the ‘Numb’ era, re-imagining some tracks and introducing a new song. He explains: “I think ‘Dead Letter’ really captures the new sound of Have Mercy. We’re more involved with our art than ever before, having learned from years of experience and rediscovering our identity as people and artists.” Reflecting on the process, Swindle adds: “This record feels like a return to the spirit of our debut album, ‘The Earth Pushed Back’. It’s about us three guys creating music because we love it, and it’s been a challenge to make something special”.
