Baltimore’s Have Mercy return with their highly anticipated single ‘Irrational Fears.’ This marks the band’s first release since the success of their 2022 album, ‘Numb,’ which brought Have Mercy back to the forefront of the alternative music scene after a three-year hiatus. The single arrives just a year after the band’s powerful re-entry and features their signature introspective lyrics paired with a bold, electrifying sound.
“I think a lot of people will be able to relate to ‘Irrational Fears.’ I wrote the lyrics as if I was in the middle of a meltdown. Mentally running through different scenarios, regrets, things that don’t make sense in the world” shares Brian Swindle. “It’s the overwhelming weight of depression and anxiety ripping your world apart. My mental health is pretty “in check” nowadays and sobriety is going strong but it’s nice to visit those themes in our writing.”
