Following on from a run of sell-out shows over in New Zealand, Hybrid Minds are back with a new single, ‘Bad To Me’ Ft. Grace Grundy, out via Hybrid Music on 14th May.
Independent leaders in the UK drum and bass scene, Hybrid Minds have paved their own way to success through operating from left of centre and keeping true to themselves at every step of the way. Their early tracks, ‘Meant To Be’ and ‘Touch’ firmly established them within the circuit, before they went onto amass 25 million streams for the latter, release a popular debut album, and set up their own label, Hybrid Music.
Speaking about the new release they said: “We wanted to make something with as much emotion as possible and as soon as we heard Grace we knew she was the perfect voice for our sound. We wanted the lyrics to be reflected in the mood and energy of the song and it turned out exactly as we imagined. We are super proud of it.”
The first single to arrive from their upcoming EP, which is set to drop following a massive Pendulum collab due this summer, ‘Bad To Me’ is a soon-to-be liquid drum and bass anthem. Flexing their impeccable production skills, ‘Bad To Me’ features futuristic pads and melodic piano samples, which are soared over by Grace Grundy’s hypnotic vocals, destined to be a favorite with the singalong crew.
