Joe Gittleman releases debut solo album ‘Hold Up’

Summer is here and with it comes the release of Joe Gittleman’s debut solo album titled ‘Hold Up.’ The bassist of the legendary Boston ska-core act The Mighty Mighty Bosstones and frontman of early-aughts punk-rock group Avoid One Thing, Joe has had an illustrious career including a platinum album for the Bosstones’ ‘Let’s Face It.’

On ‘Hold Up’, Joe collaborates with members of Big D and the Kids Table, The Pietasters, Bad Operation, The Kilograms, and more for “12 sun-drenched songs that brim with feel-good vibes.”Punk Rock Theory. The Indy Review describes ‘Hold Up’ as Gittleman further exploring his excellent skills as a storyteller, spinning tales of characters fighting demons, substance abuse, and hopeless romantic dreams, and in the process expanding his own sonic palette.”

Additionally, you can check out Joe’s new band The Kilograms, who released their self-titled debut EP earlier this year. That project includes Sammy Kay, Mick McDermott (Joan Jett/ex-Bouncing Souls), and J. Duckworth.
