On June 21st, Joe Gittleman, the bassist of the legendary Boston ska-core act, The Mighty Mighty Bosstones, will release his debut solo album on Bad Time Records. Many musicians dream of being able to accomplish what Joe has done over his decades-spanning musical career and, luckily for us, he still has plenty left in his tank.
On the final single from his upcoming album titled ‘Hold Up’, Joe pulls back on the instrumentation for a relaxed tribute to cyclist Gino Mader. “I follow pro cycling… the riders can be incredibly inspiring people. Last year, the peloton lost a member of their community, Gino Mäder. This song is for Gino, his family, friends, teammates and the whole peloton”, shares Gittleman.
