Birmingham-hailing rapper Kofi Stone returns with a new single ‘You’ll Be Okay.’ The accompanying visual – directed by Ross Carson, shot against a crisp white background – is a delicate insight into Kofi’s most profound experiences.
The new single follows April’s offering ‘Black Joy,’ a deeply layered offering and straight-talking reflection of the environment Kofi was raised in. ‘You’ll Be Okay’, produced by Joe Corfield, is no different and further proof of Kofi’s introspective and thought-provoking storytelling. It’s Kofi at his most vulnerable, filled with heartfelt accounts of his deepest feelings – both good and bad. For Kofi, it’s a reminder that through any hardship, things will always work out.
Of the track Kofi says: “I wanted to be vulnerable on this record, there’s strength in vulnerability. Creating this felt like a therapy session with myself. I wanted to bring the listener into my world and my mind, to talk about my feelings and the things I’ve experienced over the last few years – both positive and negative.”
