M1onTheBeat releases his long-awaited debut mixtape ‘M1onthebeat: the mixtape’

British producer M1onTheBeat has released his highly-anticipated debut mixtape ‘M1onTheBeat: The Mixtape,’ a striking 15-track project out now via Reality Entertainment.

M1onTheBeat’s long-awaited solo project is finally here and a defining moment for the producer, who in his career thus far has continuously elevated black music in the UK to a new plateau – one where it is critically and commercially acknowledged as a powerhouse. Stepping out further to establish himself as an artist in his own right, the mixtape is a testament to his dedication to music and himself since the age of sixteen and sees him embrace his creative process in its fullest form. It’s a body of work that, though defined largely by drill, proves M1’s efforts of moving the sonic dimensions of the genre further away from the source.

Delivering what he describes as a “maturer” sound, the mixtape carries cinematic energy throughout. His ability to create street bangers and mainstream breakers in equal measure are clear, joining forces with the very best talent the UK music scene has to offer. For eagle-eyed fans, long-time collaborators Headie OneDigga DK-Trap and Abra Cadabra will come as no surprise, all of whom M1 has shaped some of UK drill’s biggest moments with. The likes of Kojey RadicalKnucksMiraa May and DC however, display a softer approach to M1’s work. Keeping his ear firmly to the ground, the project features the likes of rising musicians Cristale, Nemzz and Skeete, whilst SkrapzSlimYoungs Teflon and Rimzee demonstrate street rap’s endless acclaim.

M1onTheBeat says: “My main aim for this tape is to put a face to my name. I feel like now is the time to introduce myself properly and this mixtape allows me to do that. I want to show people the depth of my beats and how much I can switch it up; you’ve got all kinds of flavours in there, not just drill. A lot of new fans have gravitated to me, so for them, it’s a chance for me to make a big statement.”
