The powerhouse emo quintet Mayday Parade have released their brand-new single, ‘Kids of Summer’ via Rise Records. The new song comes with an accompanying video, so make sure to watch it down below.
The anthemic single is a nostalgic ode to the band’s carefree summers on the Vans Warped Tour, with a stadium-sized, hands-in-the-air chorus that fans have come to expect from Mayday Parade. Just in time for the season, the accompanying music video, directed by Guadalupe Bustos, evokes the same joyful, summer feeling. “’Kids Of Summer’ is about one of the greatest moments in our band’s career which was touring numerous times on the Vans Warped Tour,” drummer Jake Bundrick shares about the new song. “Not only has that summer tour helped our band find an identity over the years, but it’s also helped us find our own selves in ways. We also know fans of ours and of the tour itself feel the same way, so we wanted to capture all of that in a summer anthem.”
