Moleman closes 2022 with new single ‘Phoenix’

DJ and producer Moleman is set to unleash his final single ‘Phoenix’ to wrap up 2022, and it’s been an incredible year for the drum & bass artist, marking his return. Exemplified by singles such as ‘Space Cadet’ and ‘Lost Control,’ he’s spent several years in sonic solitude before deciding on this year to make his comeback. But ‘Phoenix’ doesn’t signify the closing of another chapter and instead, it leads him into 2023 with more music set to be revealed as he remains adding to a back catalogue that already boasts tastemaker support.

Falling under the banners of Liquicity, MRSuicideSheep, QuantumDnb, BBC Radio 1Xtra, Kiss FM, MTVBBC Introducing, DJ Mag, Mixmag, Ministry of Sound Radio, and Tomorrowland Radio, his presence has racked up tens of millions of streams. This has continued throughout the past twelve months, as his music has reached a global audience whilst he’s dropped records through his own self-releasing platform. With DJs from Charlie Tee, to Wilkinson and Metrik all premiering his music across their staple setlists, there’s been a new crowd of listeners drawn to his sounds as he’s reignited his drum & bass career. Topped off by the dreamlike world of ‘Phoenix.’

‘Phoenix’ draws through Moleman’s stamp in a way that provides a track that is just as malleable for the dancefloor as it is at home. Emotive, rising synthesis over layers an ethereal vocal as you’re taken deep into Moleman’s soundscape. Following with thumping drum arrangements which help give the mix more gravity, Moleman perfectly blends the darker and lighter elements of his production. Fans will also be happy to hear that yet more new music is in the works, with a growing position for Moleman once again inside the ecosystem of drum & bass.
