Mustard Plug share blood sucking new single ‘Vampire’

Ska punk veterans Mustard Plug have released the second single from their upcoming album ‘Where Did All My Friends Go?’ ‘Vampire’ is a high-energy, upbeat ska song that should definitely be a crowd-pleaser at live shows.

Vocalist Dave Kirchgessner says:‘Vampire’ was the first song off of the album that felt completely finished and was the first one that we played live. It was really inspiring to have a new song to play after so long and helped me become more enthusiastic about helping to write more.”

Along with the single hitting streaming platforms, the band has released a music video for the track that stars Bess Rous of ‘Renfield.’ You probably know her from the now viral scene in the movie where her character Caitlyn is in therapy talking about her ska-loving boyfriend Mitch.

It’s been 9 years since the Grand Rapids legends released their last album and ‘Where Did All My Friends Go?’ certainly makes up for all of that lost time. Between the stellar production work by Bill Stevenson and Jason Livermore at the Blasting Room and having a new homebase at Bad Time Records, Mustard Plug sound as fresh as they ever have.

Mustard Plug will be touring in support of the record throughout the rest of 2023 and will be linking up with Toasters, Half Past Two, Matomska!, Big D and the Kids Table, The Slackers, and Stop The Presses on select dates.
