Muzz announce remix album with VIP reworks of ‘Catharsis’ feat. Koven and ‘Children of Hell’

Renowned drum and bass producer Muzz made his highly anticipated return to Monstercat, sharing impressive VIP reworks of his 2020 album single ‘Catharsis’ with Koven, and his 2016 EP single, ‘Children of Hell.’ This double release arrives ahead of a full album of reimagined favorites, launching on Monstercat later this year.

Staying true to his signature hard-hitting sound, the VIPs feature resounding basses, cinematic drums, and energetic synths. The euphoric melodies and bright chord stabs in ‘Catharsis X’ mix perfectly with Koven’s powerful vocals, transforming the original emotive soundscape into a high-octane adrenaline rush. Championing the next generation of drum and bass tastemakers, the reworks are a testament to the resounding impact artists like Muzz and Koven have on the ever-evolving scene.

About the rework, Muzz shares, “The original track was a really different path for me, telling the tale of a journey’s end. It felt right to take ‘Catharsis’ to a different place.” Katie from Koven adds, “For me the song is about new beginnings, coming through something tough but coming out stronger.”

Muzz has taken his innovative production all over the world, with past stops in Asia, Australia, New Zealand, and more recently, the first-ever full artist tour in virtual reality across eight weeks and bespoke venues. His music has earned support from world-class artists such as Delta Heavy, Pendulum, and Knife Party, as well as syncs in major video game titles including ‘Fortnite,’ ‘Need for Speed,’ and ‘Rocket League.’ With a full remix album on the way, Muzz will perform at NOX: Freya’s Veil in February, followed by Forbidden Kingdom Festival in May, and then at Doornroosje Concert Hall with Koven and Delta Heavy later that same month.
