Further to his win at yesterday’s MOBO Awards for Album of The Year for his critically acclaimed debut album ‘Real Back In Style,’ British rapper Potter Payper has announced a brand new mixtape ‘Thanks For Hating’ set for release on Friday 23rd February 2024 via 36 The Label.
‘Thanks For Hating’ is the official follow-up to the 2021 mixtape ‘Thanks For Waiting’ which debuted at #8 in the UK Official Album Charts, earning Potter his second Top 10 mixtape and home to hit-track ‘Gangsteritus.’ The project launched Potter to entirely new heights and once again, he brings together an all-star line-up of talent from across the globe, set to be revealed over the coming weeks. Featuring previously released singles ‘Trench P (London City)’ and most recent offering ‘Sinaloa Cartel,’ the new mixtape is a testament to Potter’s dedication to music over the last decade. He’s betting on himself, surpassing all expectations and proving to himself – and anyone who has ever doubted him – that he will stand the test of time. In his typical unflinching style, the project is a straight-talking reflection of the environment Potter was raised in and proof that 2024 will be yet another monumental year.
It’s his first full-length release since his long-awaited debut album ‘Real Back In Style’ released last year. The record was a defining moment for every Potter Payper fan, everywhere. Debuting at #2 in the UK Official Album Chart and making history as the Highest Charting British Rap album without a feature, the record was his boldest and most considered body of work yet. Described as the street’s storyteller, the album showcased Potter’s widely-lauded lyrical dexterity and stark accounts of street politics, rapping with such purpose and conviction that would stop anyone dead in their tracks. A talent impossible to ignore.
