Esteemed DJs, producers, and fellow radio presenters René LaVice and Mollie Collins join forces for their first collaboration and massive drum & bass anthem, ‘Tonight I’m Dying’ featuring Leo Wood via René’s tastemaker DeVice label.
Whether cultivating the next generation of dance music on BBC Radio 1 and 1Xtra’s airwaves or championing the best emerging and established talent on his own D&B Arena Award–nominated DeVice label, René LaVice has firmly rooted himself in the industry and aims higher with every move. A genuine d&b connoisseur, the artist’s distinctly innovative sound has won him high-profile accolades from the Bass Music Awards’ ‘People’s Choice Award’ and ‘Best Alternative Artist’ to ‘Best Radio Show’ and ‘Best International Artist’ titles at the D&B Awards.
Whilst also creating a new home for his own releases on DeVice, René LaVice has cemented a flourishing career with an impressive catalogue of anthems on the likes of Sony Music, New State, RAM, Machinist, Rubix and more, including global hits ‘Headlock’ and ‘The Calling’ feat. Ivy Mairi. Also officially remixing for a broad spectrum of artists including Grace Carter, Diplo, DJ Fresh, Craig David, and The Prodigy, René LaVice joins the band once more on their 2022 tour for what is set to be an unforgettable slew of mind-blowing shows following his remix for ‘Breathe’ featuring Wu-Tang Clan’s RZA last year which landed on the ‘Fast & Furious 9’ soundtrack.
Meanwhile, Kiss FM’s drum and bass presenter Mollie Collins has translated a rich array of knowledge and skill into productions that have won titles such as D&B Awards’ ‘Best Female Artist’ and ‘Best Female Guest’ for a mix on Danny Howard’s BBC Radio 1 show. Since winning ‘Best Breakthrough DJ’ in 2017, Mollie Collins has released on C4C, Yosh, Anjunabeats, UKF, New State, and more whilst collaborating with the likes of Ruth Royall, Katy Alex, Ayah Marar, FooR, Disrupta, and Emily Makis.
Also supporting rising artists on her own label Good Right Records, Mollie Collins has nurtured original music such as UKF release ‘Remedies’ with Ruth Royall that gathered over 4M Spotify streams and widespread airplay from BBC Radio 1, KISS Nights, and KISS Fresh whilst Leah Guest collaboration ‘Lost & Found’ amassed over 2M Spotify streams and support from Mistajam and Danny Howard on BBC Radio 1.
Adding her signature hearty vocals to ‘Tonight I’m Dying,’ Leo Wood is known for seamlessly traversing D&B, house, tech house, and alt-bass genres. The singer-songwriter has channeled her deep musical passion into releases on labels including Anjunadeep, Defected, Hospital Records, Crosstown Rebels, Liquicity, Shogun Audio, Spearhead, and Insomniac Records, demonstrating an artist firmly in demand.
Now uniting for ecstatic dance floor delirium, powerful trio René LaVice, Mollie Collins, and Leo Wood present a prolific juggernaut. Gracing René LaVice’s label DeVice that has welcomed to its roster the likes of S.P.Y., Danny Byrd, and Stanton Warriors, ‘Tonight I’m Dying’ swells between an earnest ballad and a colossal roller anthem. Emotive and meteoric, DeVice’s latest release is a crown jewel of musicality and production, marking one of the label’s most prolific collaborations yet.
