Emo punk/hardcore outfit Shoreline have released a new single ‘Workaround.’ The track shows a new musical side of the band, throwing together fast emo-riffs over slow drums, danceable disco beats while still maintaining their musical roots close to punk and features Chris Cresswell, who turned into a friend of the band after playing several shows together with both his bands The Flatliners and Hot Water Music.
‘Workaround’ is about the slow, but definite process of seeing your peers grow older, become parents, and settle in a different stage of life. The song is an encouragement to find confidence in your life-choices, understanding that there’s a different approach to happiness for every person.
New album ’To Figure Out’ continues to reflect on heavy political topics such as the climate crisis and animal rights but also touches very personal topics, difficult friendships, and love songs. Produced by Chris Teti at Silverbullet Studios Burlington, CT (among others Anxious, Fiddlehead, The World is A Beautiful Place And I Am No Longer Afraid To Die…) band not only seamlessly continued their musical originality, but also created their best-sounding record in their career.
