2021 was a jam-packed year for Sounds & Scenarios, as they released their EP ‘Maybe Someday We’ll Bloom,’ a split release with Vermont’s The Silent Mile, and their track ‘When The Fame Goes To Die.’ The Boston, Massachusetts band is starting 2022 off strongly with two new singles – a B-side titled ‘Stalemate’ and a cover of ‘Hey Jealousy’ by The Gin Blossoms.
“We wrote ‘Stalemate’ during the early part of the pandemic but hadn’t really done anything with it. It didn’t quite fit on ‘Maybe Someday We’ll Bloom’ and it didn’t fit on our split, and we didn’t even think it belonged on the new EP we’re writing currently. Despite this, we still wanted you all to hear it, so we reworked the track into something unique; something that can stand on its own. We decided to drop it as its own single, alongside a cover of the classic Gin Blossoms track ‘Hey Jealousy.’ We hope you like this double single as much as we enjoyed making it.”
