Ska-reggae super group, The Kilograms, have officially released their self-titled debut EP on Asbestos Records and it’s a must-listen. Featuring Joe Gittleman (The Mighty Mighty Bosstones, Avoid One Thing), Michael McDermott (The Bouncing Souls, Joan Jett), Sammy Kay, and J Duckworth (Newport Secret Six), The Kilograms capture the spirit of Joe Strummer in a smoke-filled dancehall.
Raspy vocals, dancing, storytelling, excess drinking, smoking, it’s all on display, and it really feels like something from a different time. Catbite vocalist, Brittany Luna, even lends vocals on the song ‘Can’t Be Beat’ and Agent Jay (The Slackers) offers up a dub remix titled ‘Dub Am I.’ Check it out below!
