The Suicide Machines share video for ‘To Play Caesar’

Detroit ska punks The Suicidal Machines have recently released their first new album is fifteen years – ‘Revolution Spring,’ and now they shared a video for the song ‘To Play Caesar (Is to Be Stabbed to Death).’ The video is shot at the band’s recent show in Detroit, which served as a benefit for Food Not Class, an organization that distributes discarded or donated food and goods to the public, and that singer Jay Navarro works with.

About the song, Navaro said to Brooklyn Vegan: “‘To Play Caesar’ is about the holier than thou elitist types who show up in the scene or in life and point their fingers at everyone else. They drop in, run their mouths, then more often times than not end up becoming exactly what they are pointing their fingers at. They’re not truly interested in solutions. Their goal is to play the martyr.” He added: “We shot the video for ‘Caesar’ at a DIY space here in Detroit that we like to keep hidden from the world. It was a benefit show for Food Not Class collective.”
