Mickey And His Uke made lots of noise during the global lockdowns with amazing covers of legendary punk songs, along with some of the genre’s biggest names. Now raised a bar even more with a cover of Millencolin‘s ‘No Cigar,’ that features legendary skateboarder Tony Hawk, whose video game that brought the song to the mainstream, another skateboarding legend, and The Faction and Urethane guitarist Steve Caballero, Millencolin‘s own Nikola Šarčević and ex-Goldfinger‘s Darrin Pfeiffer.
“The soundtracks for the ‘Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater’ games are always amazing, and the song ‘No Cigar’ is one of my favourites from those incredible song selections. What an honour to have the Birdman himself, Tony Hawk, singing lead vocals on this one. To make it extra special, we have Nikola Sarcevic of Millencolin playing bass and sharing vocals, and the legendary Steve Caballero joining in on guitar. Holding it together on drums is Darrin Pfeiffer who also appeared on the original soundtrack with another of my favourite songs from the game, ‘Superman’ by Goldfinger. Hope you enjoy this one!” shared Mikey.
