Youth Killed It release new single ‘Headbutt’

Indie punk quintet Youth Killed It premiered the new single ‘Headbutt.’ Frontman/guitarist Jack Murphy reveals of the subject matter: ‘Headbutt’ is a song about the well-known and very toxic alpha-male syndrome. I’m sure you’ve met these types of people in your life. They’ll do anything to try and impress you and those around you by lying to your face about being an astronaut, how 20,000 people turned up to your 100-cap gig, or how much money they make. At the end of the day, if you do that you’re a very sad person, we won’t be friends and we’ll be left with wanting to headbutt you instead.”

The track is the latest dose from their forthcoming announced sophomore album ‘What’s So Great, Britain?’. The album will see release via Rude Records on 5th October, with Murphy setting the scene: “Everything I’ve experienced over the last 14 months led to the creation of this record. Things that affect and impact the life of someone in their 20s – from society to relationships. It’s been a mad 18 months for Britain and my personal life in general, so I really put my heart on my sleeve with this one.”
