In honor of Black Music Month, Los Angeles band Zulu have recorded two new tracks as part of the Frequency x Spotify singles collaboration.
The band, who released the critically acclaimed record ‘A New Tomorrow’ on Flatspot Records this past March, reworked the originally instrumental album track ‘Shine Eternally’ and also contributed a cover of Slipknot’s ‘Wait And Bleed’. For ‘Shine Eternally’ the band gives the song an even funkier jazz vibe with a beautiful, mellow vocal contribution from fellow genre-bending artist King Isis. On ‘Wait And Bleed’ the band exemplify their own heavy take on the classic track and you can tell they had a fun time recording it. Both songs are available to stream now on Spotify.
Zulu will head out on a European and UK tour this week, including appearances at Outbreak Fest, 2000 Trees, and Jera On Air.
